http://www.MeTheDoctor.com/allergies.htm — Food Allergy Treatments — Controlling a Food Allergy and Treatments

The reality when it comes to individuals who have food allergies is that there is no cure or treatment for the food allergy itself

Only medications which can be given to reduce or treat the symptoms of the allergic reaction.

While many individuals have what is known as food intolerance, only a small percentage of the population have what is known as an actual food allergy with the difference being that a food intolerance is a digestive problem and a food allergy involves the immune system which acts abnormally in treating certain foods as a foreign substance or threat to the body.

These reactions can be mild to quite severe as well as life threatening or fatal.

Emergency Allergy Tap Self Help Technique Health Kinesiology

April 23rd, 2010 -- Posted in allergies | 13 Comments »

This self help techniques from http://www.hk4health.co.uk developed by Dr Jimmy Scott can help to effectively switch off allergy reactions in many cases. While similar in appearance to EFT this tapping techniques is specifically geared towards temporarily switching off the reactions you have from coming into contact with a suspected allergen. Taking only 2-3 minutes to do the techniques can save you hours of discomfort due to allergy symptoms. By rebalancing the BioEnergy in a series of specific meridian pathways (as found in acupuncture) the imbalance that was caused by the allergen is temporarily rebalanced, reducing symptoms. The technique will need to be done for each time you re-encounter the trigger but can be safely used repeatedly without harm or risk. The technique works in around 80% of cases with the other 20% consisting of reactions that are either not a result of allergy by our definition, or are more complex energy reactions than this technique is designed to deal with. For further help with allergies and to deal with the more complex cases please contact us.

Dr. Doris Rapp – Children’s Allergies to Food & Environment

November 20th, 2009 -- Posted in allergies to food | 13 Comments »

Dr. Rapp is dedicated to sharing important information about harmful environmental factors that can affect how children and adults feel, think and act in our high-tech, high-stress, high-profit world. The “progress at any cost” mentality is rapidly overwhelming our bodies as we attempt to cope with our increasingly polluted environment.

Dr. Rapp is committed to educate both the public and health professionals about the ominous physical and behavioral changes frequently evident in children and adults. The more we know, the more we can protect ourselves and our loved ones by taking some often easy and inexpensive precautions. We simply have to be more informed so we can make better choices.

In her breakthrough book, “Is This Your Child’s World?” – Dr. Rapp identifies the major symptoms of potentially unrecognized allergies in children and adults, suggesting possible sensitivities to dust, mold, pollen, foods or chemicals. Allergies are much more than high fever, asthma and itchy skin. It is possible to identify allergies by simply looking at someone. At times it is surprisingly easy to find and eliminate the cause.

The typical clues of allergies and environmental illness can include any combination of the following: Rubbing Nose Upwards, Eye Wrinkles, Dark Eye Circles, Sudden Aggression, Scarlet Earlobes, A Spacey Look, Extreme Activity Changes, Wiggly Legs, Red Cheeks, A Mottled Tongue
